Here are resources that Afromiga Web Design Strategy highly recommends to run your business either entirely or partially online efficiently (also if you like doing things DIY).

Afromiga Web Design Strategy is affiliated with some of the brands below (marked with an *), meaning that a small percentage is given to us whenever you buy from them. It's at no extra cost to you, and in return, I get pocket money for coffee (yay!). It also helps with keeping products and services at the prices they're at as expenses increase.

But please know, I wouldn't recommend anything that I don't use myself and love.

Workspace Materials & Equipment

Monitor Stand w/ Built-in Organizer (Amazon)*

This monitor stand was a lifesaver for me. My desk was super cluttered with my work, sticky notes, and all the office supplies I needed within a hand's reach; there was barely any place to put my laptop and monitor hookup. So I purchased this as a birthday present to myself. Now, my once messy desk is a bit more organized.

HP OfficeJet 4650 Wireless All-in-One Printer (Amazon)*

I use this printer mainly for printing reference materials and to do a print test of any workbooks I create to user test for my clients. If you're buying it brand new, it comes with ink (obvi), but you can also buy ink as well.

10FT Adjustable Background stand (Amazon)*

For any photographers or upcoming models and influencers who like to DIY their shoots, here's a backdrop holder that comes with a carry bag and some accessories.

Lavalier Microphone for Smartphone noise cancelling mic (amazon)*

Starting a podcast and need a microphone, but can't exactly afford one at a premium price? Start recording off your phone with this noise cancelling microphone.

Logitech HD Pro Webcam c920 (Amazon)*

If you do video client calls like I do and have a built-in webcam, you probably have noticed that the camera quality is really sh*tty. This webcam is HD and you'll look crystal clear in it. I'm absolutely in love with it.

DSLR Camera and Smartphone/iPhone Tripod with Remote Shutter (Amazon)*

This comes in heady for professional-looking self portraits and for filming at any angle, plus it comes with a carry case for portability.

Sketch Journal (Amazon)*

I highly recommend having a sketch (or dotted or grid, whichever you prefer) journal with you on the go. I use mine to write any impromptu ideas I may have whether on the train, on a ride, at the cafe, or before I fall asleep.

Desk Chair (Amazon)*

I highly recommend investing in a decent ergonomic desk chair. You don't need to spend a fortune, but it's imperative that you have a good seat for your tush, especially if you're going to be sitting for long periods of time.

Workstation Computer Desk (Amazon)*

This desk is perfect for getting your work done on, while not taking too much space.

Marketing & Design Software

Canva

is a freemium (meaning, there's a free and paid version available) online graphic design software that allows you to design graphics for print and digital marketing collateral, including, but not limited to, social media graphics, posters, ads, banner, etc. You can even print directly from inside Canva and have your design delivered to you within 7-10 days (or less with express). I swear by Canva it's something I use religiously in my business.

Gravit

is a also a free graphic design software, but it's a little more advanced. Almost like Adobe Illustrator. You design anything from a font, an icon or illustration, to a digital art masterpiece. I personally use this for creating wireframes and proofs.
